*Books and other materials in many languages

In addition to books,magazines,and newspapers,there are audio and video tapes mainly
in Korean and Chinese,and for studying several other languages.
These tapes are available for use inside the library.

In the section of AV Materials on the basement floor(B1),there are music tapes,CDs,
and videos of foreign movies with Japanese subtitles.
These are available for use inside the library,or may be checked out.

*No charge required

No charge is required for use of the library.Please feel to come in anytime during
the library hours listed.

*Personal information is strictly confidential

What you read and use at the library,as well as any personal information you give
to the library,is confidential.
*Our online catalogues(OMLIS),which are available for every visitors,will show
whether or not a specific item has been loaned out,but they will not indicate who
has borrowed that item.
*The personal information you include on your library registration form will be kept
in a computer which will be used only by library personnel.
*The libray's computers are not connected with any computers outside the library,
so there is no way personal information can be taken from anyone outside the library.

*No registration is required for use of books
and materials within the library.

A simple registration process is required to borrow books and materials.

*HOW TO CHECK OUT MATERIALS:

Your library cards is free.You can use it at all public library branches in Osaka city.
To get a library card,please bring in some identification with your name and address
on it,such as a driver's license,a student identification,or an alien registration card.
Once issued a library card,just bring it along with what you want to borrow to
a check-out desk.

For cassette and video tapes,go to the AV check-out desk on B1.
You can borrow as many as 8 books(including as many as 2 videos,and 4 CDs/
cassette tapes)at a time for as long as 15 days.
If you want to extend the lending period,please tell the staff at the check-out desk
or by telephone.
If the books are not already reserved,you can extend them for another 15 days
(except AV materials).

*HOW TO RETURN MATERIALS:

Bring materials you want to return to the return desk.Books may be put in a book
return post at the entrance when the library is closed,but please bring AV materials
to the return desk on B1 during library hours.
Books and magazines,borrowed from any public library branch in Osaka city,may be
returned to any branch of the osaka Municipal Library.

*HOW TO GET INFORMATION ON AVAILABLE MATERALS:

You can look for the materials you want in our online catalogues (OMLIS),which
are available on each floor.
Just follow the instructions or ask the staff to help.
You can seach by title and auther.You may view such information in English by
switching the computer to the English mode.
For information on materials in languages other than English or Japanese,
or for any futher assistance,please feel free to ask a librarian.

*RESERVATION

If books or materials you want are checked-out,you may make a reservation
with the library and you will be notified when items come in.

*PHOTOCOPYING

Photocopying of library materials for personal use is available at the rate of
20 yen per copy for paper as large as B4.
